I’ve been searching all over web for the last few weeks to find an app with which i can finally use my iPhone as a flashdrive when connected to a PC. Of course there were many magnificent apps but unfortunately they were not for free and also need to follow a lot of installation procedures and steps just to transfer a file to & from PC using iPhone.

Since my phone was not jailbroken I didn’t want to risk downloading apps from places other than iTunes. But by the time I read the description of the last app in iTunes, I lost hope and started googling. BOOM!!! Thats when I hit upon this magnificent yet simple software - iFunbox. Cell Phone CameraThe great megapixel race may finally be slowing down in digital cameras, but it’s picking up steam in cell phones. In digital photography, the term “pixel” refers to the tiny dots that make up a photograph. The more pixels a photograph has, the higher its image resolution. A megapixel is equal to one million pixels.

Both Samsung’s Pixon 12 and Sony Ericsson’s Satio cell phones take 12-megapixel photos—meaning you can now buy cell phones with greater resolution than Canon’s top-of-the-line point-and-shoot digital cameras.

If this sounds a little crazy, that’s because it is, experts say. Few people need 12 megapixels, especially in a cell phone camera. The megapixel race has grown out of the megapixel myth, the false notion that a camera with higher resolution is always better. Manufacturers and retailers, eager to convince consumers that they need the latest camera and phone models, have pushed this faulty idea hard. Read the rest of this entry

Transfer Songs from iPod into your computerThere’s a reason why every new iPod comes labeled with the commandment the stealing music is wrong. That’s also why the road between iTunes and the iPod is (at least in theory) a one-way street. You can load up your iPod with new music from iTunes till the cows come home. But dumping the music from your iPod onto iTunes or a computer hard drive isn’t as rote.

Despite what some record industry bigwigs may believe, not everyone is desperately seeking free music. And Apple realizes that accidents happen. Hard drives crash. Computers end up at the bottom of swimming pools, in the hands of thieves or in deserted hotel rooms thousands of miles from home. Indeed, there are plenty of law-abiding, upright reasons to want to retrieve music from your iPod.

In that glorious light of openness and honesty, i-Core -with plenty of help from Apple & other Tech blogs - offers a few avenues for transferring music that is rightfully, legally yours from an iPod onto your computer. Read the rest of this entry

iPhone GamesIt’s safe to say that Apple’s given the gaming industry a square kick in the tender regions. Despite their bluster, dismissing Apple in every way possible, Sony and Nintendo are both clearly concerned by the meteoric rise of iPod touch and iPhone as handheld gaming devices.

Although great games are the driving force behind the success of Apple gaming, low prices have also helped. Most ‘premium’ titles cost six quid or less, and many developers end up in a race to 59p, thereby providing games that’d cost 20 quid on a rival platform for the price of a Kit-Kat. Windows Phone 7 SeriesNow that Microsoft has taken the wraps off its new Windows Phone 7 Series smartphone operating system, we explain why it’s geared up for success.

It’s been hugely anticipated, much rumoured and, for many, long overdue - now Microsoft’s complete overhaul of its Windows Mobile smartphone platform has been unveiled with the announcement of Windows Phone 7 Series at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

There’s been much criticism in the past about the user-friendliness of the Windows Mobile touchscreen platform, particularly when held up against the slick experience offered by Apple’s iPhone and certain Android OS-packing smartphones. With the launch of Windows Phone 7 Series Microsoft is aiming to change all that. Read the rest of this entry
